Lednice – Valtice cultural landscape (UNESCO site)

Full day coach trip with lunch and wine tasting in Lednice. Lednice – Valtice cultural landscape is protected by UNESCO as an unique example of designed landscape cultivated by Liechtenstein family continuously during 700 years. We will visit the historic gardens of the chateaux Lednice and Valtice as well as the best parts of designed landscape (Gloriet Valtice, Diana Temple, Lednice ponds system, Pohansko manor). We will discuss about crucial aspects of area management. Break for lunch and wine tasting will be managed in the campus of the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice.

Brno

Half-day walk around Brno with a focus on public spaces. Examples of different approaches to contemporary urban landscape in the wider context. Walking tour including a visit to Villa Tugendhat, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Through the gardens of the villas Tugendhat and Löw-Beer to the oldest city park in Czechia, Lužánky and nearby Moravské náměstí square, the area of the former baroque city fortifications with the latest park realisation. Presentation of part of Brno’s Ring Road, the urban concept of the city emerging on the areas after the demolished city walls parallel to Vienna’s Ringstrasse. Finish at Špilberk Castle, surrounded by a hilly park (National cultural monument), with views of the overall image of the city. With coffee break, without lunch.
